How often should I use purple shampoo?

Once or twice a week is enough for most blondes. Alternate it with a gentle colour-safe shampoo. Using it every wash, or leaving it on too long, can give very light or porous hair a lilac tint.

Do I need a toning mask as well as purple shampoo?
